These are not brilliant, but this was my first attempt at messing around with my small point and shoot camera. I placed my £30 camera on a tripod and aimed it through the lens in my telescope! Although not the most professional shots it just proves that even beginners can have a bit of fun!!

I agree. The important thing is having a go to see what you’ll get and being surprised (and delighted) when it works. And you certainly don’t need fancy kit to have a load of fun as Lorna’s shots prove.

Excellent attempts.
The shot of the moon etc is very effective with the foreground added as it gives a sense of scale
